How Ear Clean Works

Our Services

The Meadowbank Ear Clinic was established in 2022, for the treatment of disorders and diseases involving the ears, nose and throat. Our Specialist GPs and Specialist Nurses can assist with

  1. Painless earwax removal and clean for children above 7 years age and adults

  2. Foreign body removal

  3. Diagnosis, treatment and/or ENT referral of conditions like

    Otitis media and otitis externa

    Eustachian tube dysfunction

    Sudden hearing loss

    Vertigo

    Tinnitus

    Acute and chronic sinusitis

Microsuction ear cleaning uses a microscope and a medical suction device to gently remove ear wax, debris and foreign body from your ear canal. This method does not involve water or positive pressure.

Before the procedure, we assess your overall ear health. We then examine your ear under the microscope and use a low-pressure suction device to safely eliminate any blockage.

Microsuction is widely regarded as the safest and most comfortable method for ear wax removal. Throughout the process, the ear canal is continuously monitored, ensuring a safe procedure. Additionally, this method tends to be more comfortable than traditional water irrigation.

Why Choose Us?

All of our team members are trained family physicians and specialized nurses, bringing extensive experience in general medicine and surgical techniques.

We collaborate closely with GP specialists in ENT and consultant ENT surgeons to deliver comprehensive care, including treatments like antibiotics and pain management.

If any additional ear conditions are identified, we promptly seek expert advice.

Causes of Blocked Ears

It’s important to note that a blocked ear isn't always caused by earwax. Our team is capable of evaluating and addressing various ear disorders, including:

  • Otitis media

  • Otitis externa

  • Eustachian tube dysfunction

  • Sudden sensorineural hearing loss

  • Vertigo and tinnitus

  • Sinusitis and mastoiditis

If you still experience a sense of blockage after wax removal, further diagnosis and treatment may be necessary, which our Specialist GPs can provide.
